I am finding the assertion made by Booklocker that everybody is basically doing the same thing to be true...And, what you purchase with the larger POD companies, as far as services, is presumably going to be on a professional level. BUT, if you have NEVER published a book before you are assuming that to be true. So far, I am considering Booklocker as the front runner for my business. I am however seeking more information from a local company who is in the business of consulting with me, for a fee, on being my own publisher...with all the rights and all the profits coming to me....But, I AM impressed with the Hoy's.

[...] In recent weeks, the following disparate views of self-publishing have been posted: Richard Hoy, in The Supposed Problems With Self-Publishing on the BookLocker Guide to POD and Ebook Publishing, said: “But here is the elephant in the room no one wants to talk about - the traditional publishing process sucks. Many manuscripts go unpublished every year not because they are bad, but because traditional publishers don’t know how to find the book’s market in a cost-effective manner. That is where POD publishers like BookLocker can provide a real service, as long as the return on investment is good.” [...]
